The 2024 SAE (China Society of Automotive Engineers) Science and Technology Award Conference and High-level Award Technology Sharing Conference was held on Nov. 12th in Chongqing, China. Baolong won the third prize of Science and Technology Award.

Baolong was awarded this prize for the “Key Technology Innovation and Industrialization of Hongqi Intelligent Semi-active Air Suspension System” project, which was led by FAW group, and completed by Baolong, Tsinghua University and other organizations. Through collaboration, the project achieved 9 core technology breakthroughs. Among them, Baolong was in charge of the subproject – “Complete chain control of the core elements of production reliability of air spring materials, components, and assembles”. The company once met several technical difficulties such as “development of rubber materials used for air spring bellows operating under high and low temperature environments”, “analyzing the impact of cord parameter design on the performance of the assembly” and “implementing the crimping process”. In spite of this, Baolong achieved a number of innovations through technical research, including “Technology for the formula of rubber materials of bellows based on key influencing factors” and “Design technology for bellows cord based on physical model and CAE model”, and industrialization has been successfully achieved.
