Baolong recently received a robot rotary joint encoder project nomination from a leading start-up carmaker, with mass production planned for December 2026. Following its robot camera module project nomination, this nomination further advances the company’s exploration into visual perception and joint position sensing field for embodied intelligence, which shows its momentum in the embodied intelligence field based on its profound technical foundation and engineering capabilities built in the automotive industry.
This nomination is about the same-side dual single-turn absolute inductive encoder, with a non-contact electromagnetic coupling principle. It is anti-interference (naturally immune to stray magnetic fields), high temperature resistant (can operate within the range of -40℃ to 125℃), and high-precision (designed with multiple pole pairs, it can achieve a maximum resolution of 19-bit, and enables high-precision synchronous detection of both the motor end and the output end).
In the field of embodied intelligent perception, based on hundreds of millions of automotive-grade sensor bases, Baolong improves the repeat positioning accuracy of robot joints to ±10 arcsec through inductive technology innovation, with dynamic response reduced to <1ms. Addressing the difficulties with severe magnetic fields, compact spaces, and full closed-loop precision of humanoid joints, it provides automotive-grade mass-producible sensing solutions and achieves a breakthrough in product performance.
In the future, Baolong will continue its exploration into the field of embodied intelligence, and strive to contribute to industry development with advanced technology and industrial capabilities.
