Recently the newly-developed AK2 ultrasonic radar by BaoYou Automotive Technology (a subsidiary of Baolong) received nomination from a local brand car-maker. The product will be mass produced for this carmaker in July, 2024.

The AK2 ultrasonic radar is a new product launched by Baolong and is scheduled to be mass produced in September this year. Featured by long detection range and high precision, it allows a distance as long as 7.5 meters and detection at millimeter level. It supports precise detection of obstacle coordinates and parking space, multi-target identification and contour detection, and provides highly precise temperature compensation, which ensures that the detection range remains unchanged under different working conditions. Besides, anti-interference is strengthened by adjustable frequency wave generation and mixed wave generation is achieved through fixed frequency mode and coding mode, which meets Level B of ASIL.

Baolong can develop the software and hardware of AK2 ultrasonic radar, as well as wave length drive and sensing algorithm, ultrasonic wave and image fusion algorithm, and automated parking planning & controlling algorithm. Customized solutions can be provided according to the needs of customers.

Baolong has built a fully automated ultrasonic radar production line in Hefei manufacturing park, and the production line has been put into operation with a capacity of 300,000 pcs of AK2 sensors per month, which meet the needs of ADAS and high-level autonomous driving system.
