The headquarter of Xianglong Technology, a subsidiary of Baolong has officially moved into the Wuhan Optics Valley.

Xianglong Technology was founded in 2022 in Suzhou with a branch in Wuhan, as a joint venture between Baolong and METOAK. It focuses on the application of stereo camera technology and related automotive robotics. With the backdrop of Baolong’s global R&D center of Intelligent Driving Solutions settling in Wuhan Optics Valley and the growing core team of Xianglong Technology, the latter officially moved its headquarter to Optics Valley in early July to better utilize Baolong’s R&D resources in Wuhan.

Have been successfully mounted on M-HERO 917 (an off-road vehicle by Dongfeng), the stereo camera systems by Xianglong Technology can automatically identify the snowy road surface in real time and ensures the chassis is always in the ideal off-road mode. At the beginning of this year, when Wuhan was hit by freezing rain and a lot of vehicles were stuck on the road, M-HERO Technology, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Group, cooperated with Wuhan Traffic Management Bureau to help a number of trapped car owners, which mainly thanks to the high snowy-road passage capability of M-HERO 917.

By cooperating with Baolong, Xianglong Technology has completed the first automotive 8-megapixel trifocal camera project. The cameras, with measuring precision of millimeter level, have been mass produced and supplied to a local leading startup. And recently, by integrating the technology of all-terrain road pre-scanning, ADAS, etc., Xianglong has developed an all-in-one machine of small computing power, which realizes the AEB function against obstacles and achieves a higher recognition rate compared with traditional solutions.

In the future, Xianglong Technology will continue to iterate the vehicle-grade chips of the stereo cameras, and improve the technical capabilities of ADAS and road surface pre-scanning systems to foster the intelligent driving industry, by utilizing the R&D resources of Baolong and METOAK, as well as the industrial advantage of Wuhan Optics Valley.
