A salon focusing on “cost reduction and efficiency improvement” by the International Supply Chain Committee of the Global Postgraduates Alliance (hereinafter referred to as “GPA”) was recently held at the headquarter of Baolong in Songjiang, Shanghai. The industry experts and leaders gathered together to anticipate the infinite possibility and charm of the development of future industry, while appreciating the intelligent manufacturing of Baolong.

The event kicked off with a warm speech by Mr. Jim Cao, General Manager of the Operation Management Center of the company. Then the participants visited the showroom and the TPMS production line, to get to know the various products and the efficient operation of the automated production lines of the company.

After that, several speakers gave speeches on the direction and methods of cost reduction and efficiency improvement from the perspectives of “bulk material purchase cost control”, “purchase cost reduction and efficiency improvement”, “digital transformation of supply chain”, “case sharing on purchase cost reduction”, “transformation of supply under the new ecology", etc. At the end of the salon, there’re role plays on “bidding negotiation”. Through intense simulated negotiation and discussion, the participants deepened their knowledge of supply chain partners, and are clear about the direction and focus of future cooperation. This innovative session was widely praised by the participants as a valuable practical learning experience.
