On 30th December, the awarding ceremony of the “Baolong Scholarship” and the appointing ceremony of off-campus career mentor of Wuhan University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as “WUT”) was held in the “Baolong Lecture Hall” of the university’s School of Automotive Engineering. The representatives from the University (Fangbing Meng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of WUT, Yanmin Zhao, Director of the Office of Social Cooperation and Alumni Affairs, Lu Zhang, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Dept., Fuwu Yan, Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering, Yaosheng Liu, Secretary of the Party Committee, Yiping Wang, Vice Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering) and the executives from Baolong (Charles Zhang, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Frank Yin, Secretary of the Board of Directors and Vice President) attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Chun Cai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Automotive Engineering.

Fuwu Yan, Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering, delivered a speech, expressing his gratitude for Baolong’s contribution to WUT. He mentioned the support that Baolong had offered and the cooperation between Baolong and the school in discipline building, scientific research, talent training, culture and sports, and looked forward to taking this opportunity to further deepen school-enterprise exchanges. Dean Yan also congratulated the scholarship-winning students with encouragement.

Mr. Charles Zhang, Chairman of Baolong, also a graduate of WUT, congratulated the scholarship-winning students. And he briefly introduced the development history of Baolong and the motive of setting up this scholarship. He talked about his gratitude and deep feelings to WUT, and said he was proud of the development and achievements of WUT. He mentioned the scholarship was to encourage outstanding students, helping them to grow and become talents, and contribute to the development of China's automotive industry. He also talked about the development trend of the automotive industry, and encouraged the students to create great value for themselves, their families and the society.

Besides, WUT specially appointed Mr. Charles Zhang as an off-campus career mentor in order to strengthen the school-enterprise cooperation and let outstanding alumni to guide the students' professional thinking and career development. Fangbing Meng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of WUT, issued a letter of appointment to Mr. Zhang. Yaosheng Liu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Automotive Engineering, announced the list of scholarship-winning students, and Liheng Tian, the students representative delivered a speech.

In future, Baolong will continue to donate and support educational undertakings, to cultivate high-quality talents for the automotive industry.
